Scotch® Performance Masking Tape 233+ is a premium paper masking tape designed for application in automotive, marine and other paint repair applications. It adheres strongly to smooth surfaces, yet can be removed cleanly, without adhesive transfer or residue. This tape can be used on all typical automotive surfaces and with water- or solvent-based paint systems.
Scotch® Performance Masking Tape 233+ has a green crepe paper backing that is very flexible and easy to apply. This automotive painter's tape ensures clean removal without tearing for up to three days with outdoor UV exposure and longer with indoor exposure. Scotch® Performance Masking Tape is also resistant to paint leakage and offers heat resistance to 120ºC for up to 30 minutes. A special coating on the back of the paper ensures easy unwinding with excellent control to the end of the 55-metre roll. It supports more accurate masking and helps prevent paint blow-through. Scotch® Performance Masking Tape 233+ can be used with water- or solvent-based paint systems and is also suitable for masking areas when wet sanding.
